Clean Countries

Do you think your country is a clean country? I think the Philippines is not a clean country. There is a foreigner who made a comment on YouTube that garbage is one of the biggest problem of this country. What makes your country garbage free? Do you think President Duterte can solve the garbage problem in the country? I make our yard clean from garbage because I want to live in a clean country. When I look at pictures of other countries they look so fresh and the landscape is amazingly beautiful. But I guess people get used to the garbage already.

I love the photo you used, this place looks a lot like my country, Switzerland. I think that our country is a clean country and I hope that your President can solve the garbage problem.

Like many things it takes the people to find solutions I think and attitudes need to be the same to get something done. Swiss would be a place I think I would love to visit.

@LadyDuck We did that in grade school and keeping our place clean got embedded but not everyone is of the same mindset. Those areas were trash cans are overflowing is not exactly helping. To keep them empty and find a place to put it all is another problem and requires some level of governmental organization I suppose

@Bluedoll You are right, the government can do nothing if the attitude of people does not change. We respect the laws, we recycle and people do not litter. Twice a year, Swiss population volunteer to go in the parks and picnic areas to clean what tourists have left behind.

In my country, we make a nationwide appraisal of urban health every year. Consequently the appearance and environment of cities have shown some improvement. Yet, compared with the garbage problem, traffic congestion and pollution are more unbearable. We have to waste a lot of time in the rush hour. That's terrible!

There need to be more ways to get rid of trash. Places where people could go to get rid of big items they no longer can use or want.

If people will be disciplined enough to take care of garbage/dispose it properly then there will be less problem. Also they should learn how to recycle, reduce and reuse so as not to accumulate so much garbage.

Well for my country, garbage is less. Although, there are some areas that are not clean people are used to them.

People are lazy and clearly no discipline and maybe because the government does not see it as a big problem so they don't care a lot.

I'm not sure what country is it. He likes the Philippines except for the obvious garbage that can be seen in most of the places he has been.

It is not the President that should solve the garbage problem. It should be the people themselves. People here keep throwing garbage anywhere. Even if the garbage can is already in front of them, still they just left their trash anywhere. Sometimes, I can't imagine how these people were taught about cleanliness.

@averygirl72 That's true. People should be disciplined too.
