Danielle Steel

When perusing the interwebs, I will occasionally find that an author's face is staring back at my own. Today I found that author to be none other than Danielle Steel. To my knowledge, I have not viewed any books that would cause her face to be staring back at mine. I've been mostly into Historical Fiction, and generally medieval or Regency type novels. All of these books I find via amazon, and generally all are free via the Kindle Unlimited Program. That is neither here nor there. The fact is, I haven't even read Danielle Steel in so long. I have her Granny Dan book as I think it to be my favorite one. I used to read more of her books, borrowing them from my ex mother in law who enjoyed her novels. In any case, the picture I see now is of a much more aged woman than I remember. She has aged beautifully, but from the last book I read of hers? The jacket photo was of a much younger woman. Of course I realize photoshop could come into play here ; I am more apt to believe that she has just genuinely aged more rapidly over the past few years. Do you read Danielle Steel? I can't say that I've read a mainstream author in a few years now. I tend to go for the "little known" authors or the "unorthodox" authors even.

I haven't been keeping up to date with her new releases. Did you ever read her Granny Dan book?

My grandmother loved reading Danielle Steel. I read one book of hers called Accident. I didn't like it.

What was it about? I know she had a book about the loss of her son. I started reading it but couldn't go on.

@JESSY3236 I'm sorry eww eww e I don't like books like that. I mean, I can see where it would be "cutesy" the man grieving and the woman helping but nope, I don't think it's appropriate...

I doubt that they are cheap even on kindle? I am a kindle unlimited subscriber, so if I don't get it free I usually dont' read it. However, I will pay as much as $3.00 if it's something I think I'll enjoy.

I have read many of her books, then I took a break as they all seemed to have the same story line.

I noticed that as well. Not that that is completely a bad thing, but it can be tiring after awhile.

@Inlemay I've read a few Dan Brown but I find I have to be in a sort of strange mood to read his works. My sister enjoys them when she makes time to read. In fact, you remind me I let her borrow a book two years ago I bet she has not yet made time to read!
