I've been trying natural and organic personal hygiene products like bar soaps. I also wanted to buy local Filipino brands. So far, I've tried bath soaps from Human Heart Nature, Cyleina and now GIGA.
Unfortunately, I found out that this lemongrass soap had microbeads in it only when I started using it in the shower. Sigh. I don't mind microbeads in a facial wash; I even make sure I scrub my face thoroughly when using it. But somehow I can't bear microbeads on body soaps. They feel like sandpaper on my skin.
Do you use products with microbeads and feel the same way?
I edited my picture using Pixlr Express for the first time. (I used to use Anymaking, MS Paint and Picmonkey.) It is free and can be done online, so I didn't have to log in or download anything.
Once you're at the Pixlr Express site, click Browse to upload the picture from your computer.
For this picture, I next clicked Borders, then Pattern, then Dotcircle, then Apply.
Next, I clicked Type, then Novelty as font, typed my text in the box, then clicked Apply, then Save, then altered the file name slightly, then clicked Save again. The edited picture will be downloaded and saved in your computer.
Are you willing to tinker and learn from trial and error to change something in your pictures?

Nope, no microbead usage here. I thought they were already banned, but I read that they were still in the process of being phased out. Besides it being an environmental hazard, we don't use scrubby stuff because Hubby and my daughter have very sensitive skin. I'll have to check out Pixlr - I'm curious! We have Photoshop, but I do like to try other programs (and yah, I do tinker with photos a lot . . . if it doesn't turn out right, I can always go back to using the original).

i use a soapy washcloth now and then. i just had this weird reaction to vitamin e for a while.
never learned how to use photoshop. i always add 2 or B when saving the edited picture so i still have a copy of the original.

@hereandthere I don't even use soap on my face. I will put put on a paste from dry milk powder, rinse, then put aloe juice as a toner . . . then some kind of oil (either avocado or apricot kernel or jojoba which I think has added vitamin E). Every now and then I will cottonball on some water with drops of apple cider vinegar and rinse.
I do the same with photos .. . the 2 or B

I heard microbeads are bad for the water and environment, I'd think one could better use a bit of sand or sugar for things that needed more scrubbies

@hereandthere Yes the one with vitamin E is good for minor burns .. But I don't think it can protect you from the scorching heat of sun..

i only use a phone with a camera and it's a hand-me-down so i know the quality isn't good. when i use picmonkey or pixlr, it's only to crop the picture and add "trimmings" like borders and watermarks.

I also use organic health products whenever possible like Human Nature; I don't mind about microbeads in the soap.

I have not try any soap with microbeads, so I can't imagine how it is. Perhaps some people would like to have body scrub.
At first, I thought you are making soap on your own. I just learned how to make my own soap since last year, and I have made four batches, so far. It's quite fun, relaxing and calming to make the soap, and it's more natural than those commercial ones.
I haven't use Pixlr before, but just heard that it's a good photo editing tool. Perhaps I will try it out next time, as I don't wish to download and install extra software to my computer too, it's already running slow.

how did you learn to make your own soap?
i decided to try pixlr express (after it was mentioned by another mylotter) because the last two times i used picmonkey, it was so slow.

i'm actually technophobic, not only afraid of hitting the wrong keys, but also catching accidentally anything "bad" online. i try to forget that for a while and just experiment.

Nope. Not a microbeads fan. Even on facial wash I don't use those with microbeads.
Haven't tried that Pixlr Express. Maybe I should go and try it.
