Just in case you are running out of ideas... I came up with this when we were headed to Florida... It helped keep me busy for a little while lol and some of the items simply come in handy. What would you add to the list? Keeping me occupied all of those hours can be really hard lol! Just ask my family. 1. notepad (I like to doodle) 2. pen or pencil 3. roll of coins (to pick up goodies at rest stops) 4. hair brush... yes, I do get bored so anything to pass the time! 5. map (I like to follow our route) 6. package of tissue 7. power bar (I see how long I can make it last) 8. bottle of water 9. word search or crossword puzzle book for those times when you are are going crazy. 10. a bottle of nail polish... yes, it can be messy, but the slower you go, the more time you kill!

Good idea. I keep fingernail clippers, a pocket knife and a lot of things on your list in my console. I have also learned to carry a blanket. That is from years of living where it was cold in the winter.

I would add a smartphone and probably snacks as well. A long car ride is not always pleasant. But making it fun is the way to go.

Sounds like a good idea. I use to drive from Richmond Virginia to Tampa Florida every winter to stay with my sis-in-law for a couple weeks, but since I was driving myself, by myself, I had to just keep finding a radio station I could listen to, or play my CDs,. I also used to listen to audio books in the car.
