My thoughts!
Hello everyone, good morning, guten morgen, Ola, Bon dia, Goeiemore, Bonjour!
Eventually I got some sleep before this Thursday dawned. The windmills of my mind are turning up torrents of water from the core of my soul as you might have read in my previous MIDNIGHT post.
The photo I am using is one I had no idea even existed. We have a collection of our favourite holiday photos on our computer screen-saver and as it was scrolling through the thousands of photos this morning, this one emerged! I hadn't seen it before and was delighted with the memory that came rushing back.
We were out in the Namibian Desert - This is Spitzkoppen to be exact which is
just so serenely beautiful that one cannot behold it with its true magnificence. Hubby found just the right place to put the camera (on a rock) and gave it the 10 second countdown - then he had to jump over a small rock, and a crack in another rock, careful not to fall on the smooth surfaces to stand beside me. While he gets the camera ready, I am expected to do some person placements so that we get it just right . . .
his instructions are : "stand just there, no a little left, okay now a little forward - are you ready?"
Then I shout back - because its quite a distance . .
"do you have the whole arch in the frame?"
then he replies
"Agge nee (Afrikaans for Oh no!) now you must move a little back, to the right, stand sideways a bit, I might just have to find a bigger rock"
. . . . . and so it goes on for a few minutes which turns into fun filled hours while we take SELFIES with our big camera via the propped up rocks!
The Spitzkoppen reserve might not be the same again, as our voices echoed far and wide . . . the Olivier's had been there.
I quickly made a search in our screen saver album and edited it to be appropriate for the myLot site.
Its time him and I went meandering again - I wonder how I can twist his arm?
My passport is screaming to be stamped!!

I have already gotten my second issue of lighthouses and we just love reading about it - that wont happen too soon, we have to save enough for the VISA requirements - £130 per person to apply and the £50 per day per person in our banking account for the duration of our stay regardless of what travel is already paid. So if we are there 30 days, then A and I need saved £3000 first and tickets paid before we can even attempt to apply to travel

@Inlemay No, at least not that I'm aware. I think that would have been more expensive. I just wanted a good reliable camera that would take good clear pictures. Canon has always been a top quality camera and I'm not disappointed.

Arm twist number one. "Did you see they've got half price air tickets to such and such".
Arm twist number two. "Do you remember this..................... (after 5 minutes of reminiscing)...We need to go back"
Arm twist number three. " I've asked Ben around to show us his photo's from his holiday".
Arm twist number four. Burn incense that reminds you of a place, and cook a meal from same country.
LOL.

The photo you attached is superbly beautiful, Lany, but I know it is much beautiful on the scene. You're lucky to be able to go and have memories of places like this.
