Planting baby shoots off aloe.

My aloe plant has made a bunch of smaller plants. They have grown to about three inches now and are stressing the mother plant. On most shoots the babies are attached by a single stem. How do I go about separating the young plants from the mother plant?

I will have to ask my sister she has done this. I got an aloe vera plant a few years ago but it was dying so I gave it to my Grandma who brought it back.

Use a sharp garden tool or a knife to separate the baby plants (shoots) from the mother plant, just be sure the baby plant have its roots intact.

There's not really a root. I'm hoping it will root on its own once I have made the cutting.

Thanks. I hope it does. It's not a huge plant but it does have three or four off shoots that are stressing the mother plant.
