Astrological beliefs

It is not in our belief to rely on astrology but I do read my horoscope once in awhile for fun. I believe I make my own destiny and my own success. I believe in prayers and God but I pray more for gratefulness rather than asking for something.

@digiguru,I believe astrology is a science.True that some astrologers are fake,but it doesn't mean that astrology is fake.Even some doctors are fake,but nobody says that medical science is fake or superstition.

Astrology is Indian science. They have created so many rules to help the people . Many are trying to fake.But some are good in helping people.

Taken in the right perspective astrology is interesting. Some people have taken it to far and that is what has changed a lot of people's feelings about astrology.

I listen to one astrologer only, who's famous in my country and usually tells the horoscope on TV. He's very keen on his job and experienced, so he's usually right in what he says, although he can't be detailed as each case/person is different, has a different life and personality. I pay attention to the sun and rising sign of mine and of my dear ones, mainly the sun sign though. And this astrologer suggests to not believe in what he says, but to just verify he's right, and doesn't claim to be a future teller, but he will just tell you the right moments to do something and when it is better to wait. I have a lot of fun reading the birth astro chart and the description of every planet in their sign, well, it helps with knowing more about the personality, and my chart matches me completely. Then I think there's some placebo effect on it, especially when it comes to fortune telling, tarots and such. If you strongly expect something to happen, it will probably happen: law of attraction, power of thought.

Astrology is a great science, unfortunately, as you correctly say, there are too many fake astrologers.

Yes, astrology is very much in our culture. every other community will look into the horoscope for predictions for marriage or any for planning any auspicious occasions.

One filed where illiterate fakes dominate the scene.. they have given a bad name to the science of astrology.. People seem to think horoscope is astrology here..there is whole lot of superstitious beliefs involved.

I never take much notice of this sort of thing, I am sceptical about it.

I've always been a bit skeptical but when I was a teenager, I did have my astrological chart done. A lot of what was written about me at the time was correct, but much of what was in there about my future has not come to pass. So she, at least, did not have the gift. I'm sure there are people who can really read people's charts and get it right, though.

I rarely read horoscope. I don't believe in it.

Astrology is Quantum Physics as much as I know. Astrology is practiced in almost every country, type may differ. For example Crystal reading, Tarrot reading, Fortune tellers etc. I believe that it is possible to tell you the past but predicting Future is something not digestible to me. They do effect our lives when someone in the house get heavily dependent on astrologers.
