A jolt back into my youth!!!

I heard a song on the radio today and immediately went back to the 1950s and remembered this--one of many episodes of a gay teen youth.
I was in my very early teens--it was evening--I had been walking up and down in front of the bar for about 2 hours--finally got the nerve to walk in--I knew it was a gay bar--knew I looked older but had phony ID just in case--the huge jukebox stood in the middle of the floor--on one side was the bar and the other side was a place with stools along the wall--on the jukebox Tony Bennett was singing "Boulevard Of Broken Dreams"--here I was just starting out (no pun intended) and I thought the song was referring to my future! (Oh, the drama!)
The place was crowded and I worked my way up to the bar and ordered a frozen daiquiri--in a bar that all the men were drinking beer and shots! Well, I started my bar career off giving the bartender (and patrons) a big laugh--the bartender always reminded me of that when I became a regular customer---and never forgetting this song!
