...exactly the person I thought it would be - Michael Phelps!
They made a big to-do about it this morning on the Today Show - as soon as they said they would announce who would carry our flag I said out loud "Michael Phelps" and I was right. I think that he was a shoe-in for who would have that honor.
I have a soft spot in my heart for him since he's Baltimore born and so am I. Have to cheer for the hometown hero. Yes, he is no spring chicken, but when he hits the water in that Olympic Pool he will swim like a fish.

The swimmer has been chosen to lead the American athletes into Rio's Maracanã Stadium during Friday's opening ceremony, it was revealed exclusively on TODAY Wednesday.

I think that's just how it is. 18 year olds and 30 year olds are physically different. Michael Phelps is one of the few older guys who can still keep up.

@AbbyGreenhill It seems that the most Swiss representative are having problems and are not going to Rio. For the moment I know that Roger Federer and Stan Wawrinka (both tennis player) are not going, they are both injured.
