Summer Break Is Winding Down / myLot

The kids here go back to school on August 11th. My daughter is highly upset because she has to go back to school next Thursday. She wants to stay home with me. She is also upset because it has rained most of her summer break and we have not got to go swimming or to the park a lot. We have gotten to do a lot of indoor things but hardly no outdoor ones. Bad part is there isn't a lot of indoor places to take kids to do things in my area and then everyone wonders why they get in trouble. Oh well, school starts next week and on the bright side of things she did find out she got the teacher she wanted. I am hoping that will encourage her to be excite for it next week. I guess we shall see.

Summer vacation here is too long. 2 and a half months and my son is always excited to get back to school. But back in my days, I didn't. I wanted to stay longer with my parents. When school day started, I didn't get to spend time with them as our school is 65km away from my hometown so we lived in a rented apartment near the school the whole week and get to go home only on weekends. There was only a housemaid to take care of us.

I hope for both of your sake that once she's there she will feel much better about being there. =) My kids are excited about their Home School year starting soon! They are ready to start now but I have to get all of their supplies first.
