How do you like to hire a domestic helper in your family ? / myLot

When there is a need in the family that really need help by domestic helper, many people will hire one or two in their family . Perhaps you are living in Asia , Europe , Canada or anywhere in the world but we sometimes do need help from somebody else to do the job. Sometimes, the helper can help you to solve certain problems but sometimes they will create more problems for you. According to many people's experience , it is better not to hire any domestic helper to work in your family if and only if you really have to. Otherwise, you will have a hard time from those you wanted to hire for the job. If you have any experience like this, share with us ?

I only prefer maid for the food otherwise I think I can manage most of the things.

We are thinking about hiring someone to help mow weeds. We have three weedy acres. I'm just not getting it all done cause I also have things like gardens that I tend that tire me out.

Rich people and upper middle class in my country dont hire foreign maids yet, I mean at this moment my country exports maids. I know many people look down on maids but maids are decent people. They should be respected and not treated like a low caste slave. Many maids actually managed to be successful in life by managing to have their kids graduate college and have good education. My former office Boss is a millionaire who is daughter of a maid.

We could use someone to help my mother and I, we just don't get everything done because she is 95 years old and kind of winding down energy-wise. I'm only 65 but have flexibilitiy and pin issues. But when we need help, usually a family member pitches in. The only few times we've had someone from outside the family here, they've been friends who just ar elooking for a way to make additional income. It would be hard to trust someone you didn't know in your house.

I am my domestic help. I do not hire anyone else to clean or get ready for our holidays.

A lot of people do hire domestic helpers here in India. Maybe because here a lot of dust in the air. So cleaning becomes hard here.
