Are you a night owl or early bird?

It's not even 6 am here and I'm already awake! I guess I'm an early bird but that doesn't mean I don't stay up late!
Do you usually stay up late or get up early? Maybe you're a mixture of both like me?
I honestly need to work on my sleep pattern as I feel like I don't get enough sleep...but that's part of the problem of having insomnia!

I used to stay up until about 1am but lately I've been going to bed around 11pm. I still get up the usual time in the morning so I guess I'm a middle owl?

I am a bit of both. I never go to bed until midnight and often later but I am up around 6 am. I think it is because when I worked I always had to be awake early and now I'm retired I can't break the habit!

@Bellatricks I do enjoy the early part of the day when everyone else is asleep. I often get a lot of my online work done then.

work makes me be up early, but if it was up to me I would be a night owl

I am most definitely an early bird. If I wake up and see that the sun is already up that just ruins my day. Of course that never happens--or at least it hasn't happened in many years. I'm up around 6 to 6:30 every morning. I usually go to sleep between 11 and midnight. Insomnia is something I don't understand as I have never experienced it. My sleep patterns are extremely set in stone. And I'm very happy with them. I am the most alert and energetic in the morning and have always been this way throughout my life.

There have been times when I just don't sleep at all. I have been awake for 3 days at a time before. Usually it's many things that cause it. It can be weather (I have a very hard time sleeping when it's hot), or it can simply be that I can't turn my mind off and I can't stop thinking about things.

I usually work up to 2 P.M. Sometimes, I sleep in my chair also leaving the system to its fate. It happened many times.

When I was young, a nite owl. Now that I am old, an early riser.
