Very Sad News

I'm feeling so bad for a friend. I wondered why she hadn't called me back the past couple of weeks. Well, she has been out of state and called me today. One of her grand daughters was killed in a motorcycle accident, so she has been in Utah with her daughter and other family. Needless to say she was so upset. The girl was only in her twenties and leaves behind two small children. She was with her boyfriend who was killed instantly, and the grand daughter "lived" for a few hours, but there was no brain activity. So her mom had to make the decision to remove her from life support. I can't even imagine the shock and grief. I don't even know what the discussion "topic" is here, I feel useless when someone has received such devastating news.

My condolences. May her sole find peace. Such news is always heartbreaking, even if it happens to someone we don't know. It's heartbreak after heartbreak living in this world.

Yes, sometimes it seems like life is just loss. More true the older you get. That's why it's so important to appreciate the little things that are good in our lives.

Oh that is totally awful. I guess the only thing you can do, is be there if she wants to talk, and ask if there is anything you can do. I can't even imagine...how devastating!

So so very sorry for your friend's great loss. What a tragic situation she's in. I am sending my thoughts and prayers to your friend from my heart. "Unforeseen (tragic) events" can steal our loved ones away from us. So may the God of all comfort be with your friend, family and friends during this difficult time.
