Today Is My Husbands Birthday

Yup, today is the hubby's birthday. He typically tries to underplay the day but I insist on getting him a cake and a gift.
The cake is always marble with whipped cream frosting. Why? It's his favorite. I think that we have gotten the same cake since we have been together.
The gift this year was a gas grill. He had been looking at one that he really liked but wouldn't buy because he didn't want to spend that much money.
So, I saved my pennies, nickels, dimes, and quarters and he now is the proud owner of this grill. Of course, it helped that the lowered the price by $60 at just the right time.
So tonight we are having grilled burgers cooked on his band new grill. I would have fixed him a more fancy meal but burgers is what he wanted. He's the boss today.

Ooh, happy birthday Susan's hubby! My mom's cake is whipped cream frosting, too. She likes a white layer cake with whipped cream and bananas. It is really good, nice and light instead of sugar shock.
Sounds like a really nice gift, and you will benefit from that, too! Hope the burgers are delish

@CinnamonGrl that sounds so good. I'll have to look into getting that kind of cake for my birthday. Is today your mom's birthday? Tell her Happy Birthday. I couldn't have gotten my hubby a better gift.

Family is so important. Some people are surrounded by walls that they can't call home and amidst people that they can't call their own. This is a terrible feeling and I pity those who live in such situations. I am happy for you though and I am sending good wishes towards your family. God bless you both.

My hubs had his birthday on the 11th and while I didn't get him a gift, I did take him out to lunch. Happy Birthday to your hubs Sounds like you had a nice day.

My son bought himself a grill for his birthday a couple of years ago...I got him the tools and sewed him an apron.
Happy birthday to your hubby and so nice of you to save up to get the grill.
My hubby likes strawberry shortcake for his birthday so we do at least try to do that every year for both him and his sister.

Happy birthday to him. My husband is the same way about birthdays his is sunday he keeps saying he doesnt want anything what is it with men,lol Im getting him and cake and we are going out to eat that day regardless.Im gonna wait till we get in the car and so oh yeah by the way you pick where you wanna eat at,lol.
