I have been fighting the gloom that seems to settle down on me every now and again.. I know that sadness is a part of life and we need to accept it. It has come as a shock to me that one of my classmates from high school passed on this last Thursday. This is the the third death among my classmates and it kind of leaves the rest of us feeling gloomy. The girl has been fit and fine she just reached fifty last year and had a fantastic celebration with family and friends. We were still commenting on how fit and young she looks and all of a sudden her daughter updated her profile saying her mother has passed on. She complained of a head ache and as it got worse she was rushed to the ER and before they knew it she had passed on. A couple of months ago another one of my classmates passed on due to cancer. Last year one of them died in an accident. Most of my friends used to say they are still feeling young but with these deaths most of them have gone into depression. One of my close friends seems to think she would be next .. I have such a tough time trying to get her off these gloomy thoughts. This morning I saw a post on another one of my friends fb page and its says that she is getting ready for death. I do feel sad, I feel the gloom settle on me..once in a while However it seems that the others around me seem to be filled with gloom and doom. . I know life has to continue for those of us here and I won't let this get me down.. This makes me wonder if the death of your friends makes you feel this way

a headache and that fast? Sounds a bit like an aneurysm. I knew someone who's fiance went to bed with a headache, this was in college mind you so we were young, and he never woke up. Life is no guarantee, we can be healthy and careful and die in a random accident. All we can do is what we can do.

@Jessicalynnt now you got me scared. Glad I rarely have headaches except for my darn sinus pressure.

@RasmaSandra I have them all the time, I don't associate the two thankfully, I just know it can be a thing, but just more so, noting that we can die from the most random things, so living life like we aren;t guaranteed another day, is a good thing. Dont want to try new things, travel, tell someone we care, etc

I am so sorry, 50 is very young to go. I suppose that an aneurysm killed her. I think that there is nothing we can do to prevent this problem, when you feel the pain, most of the time it's too late.

@LadyDuck It was an aneurysm.. She hadn't told anyone that she had had a fall from her bike a few months ago.

@sofssu This is what I thought, we should always go to see our doctor when we fall, it can be very dangerous.

Always, because we had the bonding, the relationship and the love. If we live here for the moment-- then live it, but we should also remember there is second life with the eternal happiness.

@ilocosboy I believe in that.. I believe that we go to a better place and our joy is eternal. Its sad that others don't have the same hope.

@sofssu on this rainy afternoon you just brought me doom and gloom. Yes, I agree with you knowing those who are around your age passing on is an awful feeling. Scary too in a way. My high school friend found a boy online who we went to grade school with. She started writing and calling him and he had MS. Before you know it he had passed on. Sorry for your sorrows but think of brighter tomorrows. They are now watching over you and you will meet again one day. For now enjoy your life because you still have a lot of living to do. Virtual hugs.

@sofssu I do feel the loss when someone close to me passes on but I also try to remember the good things about them. I focus my mind on the good memories. I do hope that you are able to grieve at your own pace.
