MyLot Is 'F' - Fascinating And Fun.

Fuschias in my garden.

On Mylot we write fact and fiction, We let all our fancies take flight, We focus on foodstuff and flowers, And follies that give us a fright. We write of our fads and our feelings, Of friends that are feathered and furred, We all come from far flung locations, For this is the site that's preferred. Fab photos are shown by our fellows, And friends here are faithful and kind, They're fluent in verbal fandangos, And finer folk you will not find. Our posts may be flippant or funny, You'll hear of our foibles and fears, We may not get fame or a fortune, But frankly it's fun here, my dears. (An attempt at alliteration) Photo is of fuschias in my garden.

I agree with your words absolutely And some posts do make us smile But if we look at them more astutely Most content is rather puerile Of course that is perfect for this site It is here as a place we can chat I enjoy the way members here write Because real life talk is just like that

@rebelann So you are not accustomed to the word, although it is not a commonly used term.

@Asylum Perhaps I'm guilty of 'puerile', But what the heck, it is fun, As long as I don't raise your bile, Then regrets I'll not have a one.

While I enjoyed her flowers, I didn't take not of the type until reading your comment. Funny that she fandangled a way to get even her flowers in tune with her poetry.

This was really fun to read and the photo is beautiful Now I’ll have to look up alliteration and foibles ….. at the rate that you, pgntwo and several other British or Irish members I should be well versed in your language in about 10 years or so

@rebelann Lol - it's your language too! Foibles are weaknesses or imperfections, alliteration is words starting with the same letter - in this case F.

There are subtle differences that I hadn't noticed before I started getting really involved in reading the many works that you and so many other Brits or Irish have posted @jaboUK it's so much fun to learn a variant to that which I thought was the norm. I'll have to give that same letter thingy some thought, I don't have to rhyme do I? We both know that's not my forte.

@rebelann Alliteration doesn't have to rhyme at all, give it a go.

@jaboUK It is! I even like how you used Fuchsias in your photo! When I was a child in California we had them in the flower beds and I loved to hear them pop when I squeezed the unopened bloom. My mother would get furious with us, but I'm not sure how she knew. Maybe we bruised them. Your photo shows many my hands are itching to pop!
