I think everybody remembers my rescue of Princess the Siamese cat who surprised me with a delivery of 4 kittens in early March. Well the kids turned 5 months old on 8/13 and it was time for the 2 males (Snowball & Snowflake), to visit the vet for the dreaded; snip-snip. I loaded them up yesterday morning at 7:30 for their 8:00 appointment. They were so good in the car; no meowing or panic. Now mind you, both of these cats are playful and very loving but when I went to pick them up, the vet said that Snowflake (the calmer of the 2), had ripped them all a new one; starting with taking him out of the crate. I guess I should have stayed 'to help out'. Who would've thunk it!!? I picked them up at 2:00 and Snowball cried all the way home, while Snowflake did nothing but hiss and spit. I think they were unhappy that their manhood had been removed (altered). They are back to their usual self today. I did almost fall over at the cost. Whereas the neuter itself was only $65 for each boy and she didn't charge me for any of the anesthesia, the 3 shots per cat came to $61.00 each. The final bill? $252. I still have to have Princess and the 2 girls (Pickles & Pumpkin) spayed. Yup, I can see me standing on the street corner in a short skirt and bra now.
