Ever Enjoy Frozen Grapes?

Have you ever tried freezing grapes when you buy them? I never gave it a thought until someone told me they do this a few years ago. Since then, I freeze a portion of most of the grapes that I buy. When I buy them I usually eat some on the way home from work. If I find that no one is eating them very quickly then I'll put them into the freezer to eat when I need a frozen treat. When taking them out to enjoy you need to take just the right amount. If you take too many at once they will thaw fairly quick, but if you don't take out enough and you want more then you're opening the freezer too often which isn't recommended. This is the most that I've ever removed at one time, but I have lots more and need to begin eating them again. When I tried a few grapes in the store they were sweeter than normal, but the bunch I picked out wasn't as sweet as the others, so freezing them makes the more yummy without being overly sweet. Pardon me while I enjoy my grapes before they thaw all the way.

I've never thought to freeze grapes, and I've never eaten any like that either. Perhaps I'll give it a try.

I would not fancy frozen grapes and suspect that they will go very soft once thawed.

The idea is to eat them before they actually get around to thawing. I managed to eat all but about ten of the bunch in the picture partially for that very reason and partially because I'm getting tired of them for now.

@Asylum one at a time it is quite easy and refreshing too. They sort of pop in your mouth, in a sense.

I've frozen blueberries and raspberries. Since they go bad quickly, and are so expensive it seemed a good idea. The frozen raspberries were especially tasty. I had forgotten the frozen grapes idea.

I know of many that freeze other berries and use them in smoothies or pies or baking, but I don't like too many fruits frozen unless they are used in a recipe. Course, I've not tried them in the last few years. Maybe my tastes will have changed for the other fruits too.

I do not like to eat frozen fruits, even kept in the refrigerator they lose their taste.

Sometimes grapes don't seem to be as sweet as I'd like them to be. When that is the case if I freeze them I can still enjoy them in a different way. I don't particularly like eating other fruits frozen. I think with the grapes it might be that just the outer area is frozen making them easier to eat in that manner.

I've heard they are good ice cubes in drinks too.

I've not tried them as ice cubes. Maybe I'll consider that one sometime.

Have you ever tasted the white long grapes.? They will be rich in sweetness. Very good for health also. The raisins made out of these grapes will improve the blood. The grapes you are eating are available in India. I have tasted once. They are good. The outer layer was very thin.I liked it.

We have several varieties of red grapes here along with black grapes and green grapes. The green ones are larger usually, but we don't sell white ones in this area. I'm not sure if our green ones might be the same as your white ones. If you get them year round, or whenever you get them you could put a photo in your comment of them so we'd see what they look like.

I have read that idea in diet articles. But, I can't bite frozen things! I do use frozen fruit in smoothies so I could try freezing grapes.

I have been meaning to try these but never have. Everybody keeps telling me how good they are. I see grapes are on sale this week at the local market I will have to pick some up and freeze them. Enjoy!

I've never heard of anyone that didn't enjoy them this way, but you may want to just put a handful into the freezer and eat the rest like you normally would until you see how much you like them.
