Farewell to Winter. Hail to Spring!

August 19, 2016 8:07am CST
I think, feelings of nostalgia wrap all over me as I grow older and quite forgetful. Trying to hold on to good memories and livening some dreams of the past with my husband. O Winter! I bid, "Goodbye!" Dreary days cloaked me when I sigh. Sweet Darling bought me a chateau. Within, bitter chills wrapped me in solitude Thus, by the fireside, my Love, he wooed. O Spring! Almond blossoms on the hills The morning breath of fairy bells My Honey Bunch picks violet rose bouquets for me While daffodils rise with dewy locks Passion vine climb the portico box. I've enjoyed writing this little poem. I hope you have, too.

Gee, thanks! @Happy2BeMe Most of the winter were rains, frost and dreary. The past two days were sunny. Our rain water tanks are full. Which is the best! :-) I like your username, @Happy2BeMe

It is always so weird that your seasons are the opposite of ours. Summer for you is winter for us.

I know. I guess it's a bit difficult to identify with us at this solemn moment, LOL! I heard that air conditioners there are in full blast and are saving more lives from the heat. . Opposite to what your weird Sec. of State, John Kerry says that air conditioning is more a deadly threat than terrorism. Duh! Haha!
