The Western Idaho State Fair starts today. It's only the 19th and usually it starts later in the month. This always denotes the end of the summer for me. Turning toward fall now. For most it is the Labor Day weekend. Monday, September 5 is Labor Day this year. I remember working at the fair, even traveled with it for several years. My daughter and I worked as ticket takers out here for a couple of years. Nice second job. Maybe I will write about my experiences sometime.
The fair used to get me so excited. The people, the noise, the lights, the rides, the music, the food, etc. Now the thought of all those people makes me crenge. The vintage pictures you could have taken, the animals, the shows, the different rides, the unique foods and candies, and the excitement
How about a scavenger hunt at the fair? On the news these two gals are doing one. I was in one with my boyfriend when he was a member of a auto club years ago. But at the fair it would be fun, a lot of things you could scavage.
Do you go to your local fair? What are your favorite attractions? We don't go any more.

If you go during the off hours it is less crowded too.

Those are the things I miss. A ride on the ferris wheel or the carousel. I rode on a little carousel at the park with my great grand son a few years ago.
