We have been watching the Olympics Badminton Men's Single final, and of course we hoped Malaysia will win. Lee Chong Wei has lost, and Chen Long from China is the gold medalist. My son was a bit disappointed as we did not get the gold medal, but he is happy also as we have got another silver medal. He is also happy to see now we have 4 silver medals now. I am sure my son will continue to talk about the badminton games and competitions tomorrow. He is still excited about the match now. Sometimes the results might not be what we expected, but life still goes on and we should still be grateful for it. Is there anything that make you feel disappointed lately?

I was disappointed when the Canadian Women's soccer team was knocked out of the running for the Gold medal. But they got the Bronze, so it's still good. And life goes on

Yes, I told my son there is only one gold medal, not getting gold medal does not mean they are not great. Yes, life goes on no matter what'd happened.

Don't be upset, although Lee Chong Wei lost the game, but actually many Chinese thought he already won the gold medal. It seems that he often won the second prize in the big matches. He is a well-known badminton player. He has many fans in China. He already tried the best. Thanks for giving us an excellent match.

Thanks. I did not know Lee Chong Wei has fans in China, as it seems like he always competes against China players. I read the news Chen Long said, Lee has too much pressure as this could be the first gold medal for Malaysia. Yes, I think it's a good match too! I did not watch the match between Lee Chong Wei and Lin Dan, I suppose that was a great match.

@kaka135 Lin Dan didn't play it well in this Olympics in my opinion. I don't think that he tried his best. Of course I will never know why. Lee Chong Wei is a strong opponent and we like to see the challenging match. I like to see more new good badminton players from other countries. The match will be exciting with some many different good players. In fact today I talked about it with my colleagues, and they also wish Lee Chong Wei could win the gold medal. He works hard for it and he deserves it. Although he is from Malaysia, but it doesn't mean that he is our enemy

It is perfectly natural for him to be disappointed, but as you say the silver is still a great achievement.

Just remember that in a game we aren't so sure if we will win or not . What is important is you enjoy the game and gave it your best .

You got a silver medal for the mixed double too, didn't you? Indonesia took their only gold medal for that...

@kaka135 - Better to be disappointed than to become disjointed. I learned about losing a badminton match way back when I was a little kid. My winning opponent told me, "That's the way the birdie flies."

Life often does not always go as planned. I have learned to go with what happens. Change plans and move on.

I was a cricket player. When I was playing get selection for the University was a herculean task. In those times getting through the University Selection itself was almost playing for a state. There were not even 50 overs matches, T20 matches, or Day-Night matches. My colleagues even now if they see me had these matches been introduced during our times our position would have been different.

We all have our favorites. I saw the match. Chong Wei looked tired and Chen Long is younger and fitter. So a sad end to a great career - siva
