My picture is not good, sorry about that. The only way I really have to take a picture is to clothespin them to the drapes and the sun coming in.
Hopefully you can see the design well enough.
I fully intended to get up this morning and post the tutorial on blogbourne.
I got the pictures all prepared, and I have written the tutorial step by step in word as I sewed, but time is not on my side.
I ended up staying in bed until just after 11 am and soon enough it will be time for the weenie roast this evening. Time is flying by today thanks to me staying in bed so long. I surely needed the sleep though!
Back to the quilt top--
It's a jelly roll type top. I say type because if you really make it with jelly rolls (packages sold that contain 40- 2 1/2 inch strips that are 40 to 44 inches in length) then it's a jelly roll quilt. I usually use any size 2 1/2 inch strips. For this one I use 22 inch length strips that I got from the retreat in the left, right, center game.
I am really in hopes of finishing this quilt before quilt guild on the 29th. I want to show it at show n' share time for what I did with the strips from the retreat. Wish me luck!
Now that there is no longer a bed in the middle of the living room, I can sweep and mop the floor and sandwich quilts on the floor. We pulled the carpet out some time ago so doing it on the wood floor will be optimal.
I hope you all are having an enjoyable Saturday. The rain left us with a major cool front and I am sitting here wearing my sweater, even in the house.

I have a bunch of strips cut, have had for a long time. I was going to do this, cause I like yours, but I think I will actually do the strip quilt on finish as you go blocks.

I am not a quilter but my sister is and she enters every contest she and her quilt group join in. I am awed by her talent and love the colors. I am not a sewer, I used to be but I enjoy painting so I hope some of my art lasts long after I am gone.

I had to change out of shorts and tank as well. I'm in a sweatshirt and pants. I can see it fine. It should be interesting when you get it finished. I hope there will be another picture.

It's really pretty.
Weenie roast sounds fun! I haven't even done them over a campfire in years. Campfires not safe these days in our neck of the woods. Is it a celebration of something, or just general good times?
