Here is a photo I took of my brother and his oldest son when we visited Jackson Hole and the Grand Tetons in Wyoming. It was quite an extended camping trip. We traveled through 17 states all the way to South Dakota on a northern route and then came down into Wyoming and Denver, Colorado and took a southern route back home to Virginia. We were traveling for over five weeks with camping trailers. My oldest brother and his family, our family and my youngest brother and his family all traveled together. We saw many different places along the way, like Mount Rushmore, Yellowstone Park and the Black Hills, Custer State Park and even the unfinished sculpture of Chief Crazy Horse. We also visited the Badlands and Devil’s Tower and Jackson Hole. Rafting on the Shoshone River was one of the highlights for my teenage children. They really enjoyed that experience. It was a wonderful trip.

Yes, we logged over 6000 miles going out and back. We got to see a lot of things on that trip. My children were teenagers so they remember everything very well.

We really got to see a lot of the USA on this trip. I've been back to South Dakota since then, but I went by plane. My youngest brother and his wife went with me and we visited some of the same places again and then also visited the Lakota Sioux Indian Reservation.
