Always Get A Receipt!!

Last night after the hubby got off of work, he stopped to get some gas and some more chewing tobacco. When I'm on the internet, if he doesn't come home at the time I think he should be off of work I check our credit card. If there is recent activity at the gas station that we get gas at then I know he's off of work and headed home. Yesterday was NO exception. When he got home he explained that he got gas and some chew. Then he was wanting to order a part online for a radiator he's putting in our farm truck and wondered how much money he had. When we checked the balance and he saw the debit for at the gas station, the number didn't add up. So he went back to the station (15 miles away one way) and sure enough...they hadn't added the gas charges!! He was on their list of "drive offs!" So he got that taken care of and got more chew. Of course I was on the computer making sure he got there and that the charges were taken out properly!! He got home and he bought MORE chew, so with the gas charges and the chew the amount they charged again was NOT right!! So, by this time, we really weren't wanting to waste the gas again, so he called and the lady that had rung up the items (both times) said that she just charged him for only one can of chew (instead of 5) but got the gas charged!! The gas amount was the most important, I guess!! They never gave him a receipt, if they had of he wouldn't have had to have made a trip back or call them and tell them he wasn't charged for something!! Today, I will keep an eye out to make sure that he went and paid for the chew!! I told him he needs to ask for a receipt each time.
