To Market, To Market - Jiggity-Jig... I would not want to let anyone down as to believing or not believing that those of us who hang out here in the wide, wide spaces of Texas keep a big stallion horse in the garage and ride him over to the local market when we run out of beer or some other necessity. We use our "choppers." For those who don't know what a "chopper" is, it is not a hand-held weed whacker or something you use in the kitchen for making little pieces of onions out of big ones. A "chopper" is ordinary, weekday kind of transportation. The nice thing about "choppers" is that. using them around these parts helps a body avoid having to brave the local roadways when all of the mommas are driving on them so as to carry their kids to and from elementary school - and to avoid all of the teenage drivers who ferry themselves to high school in their various sorts of jalopies and limos. Up and away. Get out of my way, birdies. I own the skies whenever I run low on stuff and want to zip on over to the market for refills. Would I kid you? Never happen. But I might enjoy telling you all some fine whoppers. Yes. I might enjoy doing that. * * * * * * * * * * Image source: Serif UK,Ltd DVD from my copy of their PagePlus-X5

@responsiveme - Friend ARM - Some say that I tell tall tales. This tale happened to center on the use of a helicopter. That's about as tall as I could go at the time. -Gus-

I did not think you lived in the United States. I think Texas is still there, for the moment, anyway.

@akalinus - Ms Jo Ann - The way things are looking these days, I sometimes wonder if I am still living in the United States. The colonies here used to be somewhat more understandable to me and to many others, too. Been here for a while - right now chugging along to attempt reaching year-86. We shall see what we shall see... Never did fly a chopper. Did my flopping around in the clouds holding the "stick" of a little Cessna 4-seater. Slow, but fun, until it was time to return to the field. The field was named "Clover Field" and that was a good name for it. Had to circle around some and chase the cows and goats off of the field before touching down. Should have had a chopper back then. -Gus-

@Ceerios I know Texas wants to secede from the union and I don't blame it.

@akalinus - Ms Jo Ann - Truth be that Texas wants to do lots of stuff. Thank goodness that it is prevented from doing 99.999% of it. -Gus-

I was reading and thinking 'this can't be for real'. I'm a bit gullible sometimes but then what can you expect from someone who lives where kangaroos hop down the main streets?

@JudyEv - Ms Judy - One (maybe the only one) nice thing about me is that I do not charge a fee for veracity/non-veracity lessons. -Gus-
