What a weird way to myLot...

We all do it in our own way(s)...each of us a bit different in our habits here. Some post only their own discussions pretty much, and ignore everyone else's. Some don't post any discussions, and only respond and comment to discussions from others. Myself, I post plenty of my own, but try to make sure I respond to many more than I post.
And then, I see a person that only has (1) next to their name, that seems to post often, starting their own discussions...but their count stays at (1).
It appears they start discussions, wait for some responses on them, and then delete the discussion, and post another later.
I know when they first started, they had replied in one or two other discussions from someone they knew, but it seems they deleted all of that as well.
And now they just post a discussion...get a few responses (and cents)...then delete it and repeat the procedure.
They evidently aren't here for money, because they surely can't be making much at all...but I just don't 'get it'.
Maybe they are just plain silly or something...

The poster keeps any money they made, but they are losing out on some from other people that may have responded later

@LoriAMoore They are changing discussions, just not leaving more than one up at a time.

I don't know why. They still get to keep any earnings from it.

Quite bizarre, I have to admit, I am sure they have their reasons, but each to their own as they say. I tend to swing both ways, in that I will put up discussions and I will respond to others. Usually I will check out the discussions of the members who have responded to mine, like a courtesy as they've taken the time and effort to respond to mine, it's only then fair that I should take the time and effort to respond to theirs. Still it's a good job we are all different, would be boring if we all did the same things! And we all have our own foibles.

I keep my foible right next to me at all times so someone else doesn't try to walk off with it

@pgntwo I want to say something about the 'originality' of their avatar (or lack of one)...I did that quite often back in the old version, so it isn't anything unique.

Nope, not them, they still have (12,000) something because of all the responses/comments they make.

I really do not understand why they do so? If they do like that they forego their earlier earnings also. I think they are not aware of it. Try to explain this to those people. If I come across such people I will tell them.

Strange indeed. Maybe they have OCD and can't have more than one discussion. :)

My initial intention of signing up a mylot account is for making money. But I realize I can not get a dollar from it easily. But I found this is a great place to interact people, share story with people and get advises from people. I like it

I know who you mean.
I'm thinking of doing a similar thing but just leaving certain discussions up for a while and I'd still get back to people as I do know.
When a discussion goes on past a few days I get bored of it and don't necessarily enjoy getting back to people...so instead of just liking and saying nothing I'm going to start deleting again
Where I don't agree with the person is she obviously never gets back to anyone.

I've actually seen most of your topics here many times before you joined.

@jazzyindian There is a finite number of topics, although I see one recently popped up that has the same basic pretext as one you posted 4 hours ago.
Unfortunately, multiple discussions on the same topics are allowed now, you can't 'own' a topic here.
