A Futuristic Look/Thought

Josh brought a friend home. They played Nerf guns over at the park and then he had to go. Nice to have friends over again. He was alone most of the summer. Just us and Mikey down the apartments a ways. But when he gets on YouTube, Netflix or Xbox he his entertained for hours. He enjoys listening to this guy on YT that narrates his playing Mind Craft and is so funny and keeps Josh laughing. He enjoys the guy and the game. He did get a new Transformers game about a week ago when his mom took him to Walmart to get a few things for school. I think that Josh playing video games and watching games being narrated on You Tube is so much better than him running with a bad crowd, doing drugs, becoming a member of a gang, etc. And listen to this idea: If, and I say IF, there is a a form of Armageddon, a catastrophe or some form of end to the world as we know it, the young men and women that are growing up playing video games now are learning strategy, patience, navigational skills, organizational skills, decision making, problem solving, and computer language and skills also. They say that about 10,000 hours of practice at something will make you a expert on a given subject. Here is an interesting article on the subject:
What Video Games Teach, a look at what Malcolm Gladwell's "10,000 hours" of practice could offer learners that play video games.

Yeah, I have watched him playing it. I am really proud of him too. He has played those gang ones that are so awful and he doesn't care for them. He'd rather play one like this one.

If there is an Armageddon I don't think anyone will have much time to respond regardless of their skills...

People will be without internet and phones. There will be a long aftermath and people that are left trying to survive. Learning to barter now and other skills will help.

Oh, I wonder if that is the same guy my great nephew listens to. I get so tired of hearing that.

That's a shame. I like it cause he is humorous and makes Josh laugh at time. Can't beat a good sense of humor.
