Last time, we had our monthly laboratory. People like me call it our test or exam whether we pass our laboratory. The first lab I have for this month show no result. So they needed to extract another blood from me to check whether I pass or not.
An hour before my session ends. The nurse excitedly told us that I got 67 and that's my Hemoglobin count for this month. Awful. Yes. I feel bad about it. But this is how it works. That means I failed. So I need to have a blood transfusion the next time.
The boyfriend worked on it. He was my donor. And I thank him for saving me always.
Yesterday. I had his blood transfused to me and it was successful. Amen.
Have you tried donating blood or having a blood transfusion?
Me, I can't remember how many times already.

@hereandthere We have to drive half an hour and make an appointment whereas once we could just drop in to the place at just about any old time.

it is really expected that you have blood transfusions; you undergo HD right? me, when i was operated on, my Hgb decreased to 99 g/l but i was given vitamins to increase my hemoglobin levels, no BT for me

@JustBhem isn't taking Ferrous Fumarate not allowed? here in the hospital where i have my duty with my students, those who undergo HD are tablets like CaCO3, NaHCO3, and Ferrous Fumarate given 3 times a day

@ridingbet
I'm still taking CaCO3 and NaHCO3 but not Ferrous Fumarate. It will make me ill. I don't like the rusty smell of the tablet. I take Sangobion.

I had to be transfused a couple times following a lengthy spine surgery. Some of it was mine that I'd given in advance, but I hadn't given enough to finish the job. So yes, now I have someone else's blood as well as mine. I think it's nice you got your boyfriend's blood, you're compatible, that proves it!
