Being unemployed for a short while may be nothing for some people. But being an unemployed person for along time especially when you are the main income pillar of the family, it is really something. However, after a long time struggle or may be years of unemployed situation, you finally get a new job . How would you feel about it when you look back on those tough time that you have passed ? That would be great if some gets a new job after a long wait. I was unemployed for 3 months when I didn't have much responsibilities. I remember how happy I was when I got this job.

Yes, you are someone who really understand what it means to be unemployed. This is a feeling that those who always get a job will never understand.

I do not know how you define a long time of unemployment. For some people, they cannot even rest three months because they do not have enough savings for three months. I have experienced several months of unemployment before, but that was not even complete unemployment. I had some part time jobs, and online income at that time.

@wildlittlefan It is not possible to get unemployed for years. There will always be jobs in the economy, but these people think that they are so above the rest of the population, and they are not willing to take on lower paid jobs. Fast food restaurants, and cleaning companies are always hiring people, yet those who are unemployed are not willing to apply for such jobs.

Well, there are some people who will be unemployed for many years. If you were not one of those , then it was truly a grace then.

I haven't worked in 3 years, but part of that was due to going on maternity leave with my third child. I now am physically unable to work, and even though I was not the main earner, it was still quite the adjustment.

Oh, being a mother isn't easy and it is important to raise your kid though. However, you can start to learn how to make money online. In the beginning, you won't make much but after you get to know how to do it, you can earn a living with only a computer at home .

@wildlittlefan options for earning money online are not as prevalent in Canada. And unfortunately, sitting at a computer for long periods causes my back pain to flare up.

Keep going and the job will come. However, for sure the moment of waiting is not easy for anyone though.
