Do you work from home?

Is there any fellow work at home persons here? I work from home doing odd freelance jobs like writing, data entry work, blogging, and other miscellaneous work. I like working at home because the schedule's flexible, but the downside is sometimes the pay can't be that great. Do any of you work at home? If so, what work do you do?

I do a little writing on zemandi for a little extra, my mystery shop reports are written at home. But otherwise I work outside the home.

@dramagirl26 it is one where they send you an assignment. They only pay 50 cents per 100 words, so I am guessing that if you already do freelance, you get paid better than that. I like it because it doesn't matter if I don't have time to do it for a while.

I've never heard of Zemandi before. What kind of writing site is that?

I worked full time at a job and part time at home for years. I raised six children and it takes a lot of money to raise that many children. I retired in December last year and now I still work at home and online. The extra money is always good.

@jstory07 I agree extra money is always good. There's so many things you can do online to help add to your income.

THere are several people here who solely work from home. I work as a stock clerk atleast three nights a week, but otherwise I am on here or on swagbucks. I don't like the demand of free lance writing but do love the freedom of sites like this and swagbucks. It doesn't make me much but it's a good secondary income all the same.

I like Swagbucks too, it's one of my many sources of income. Freelance writing can be demanding, but if you find the right client or site it can be worth it.

@dramagirl26 I would love to work solely from home if I could. Right now, and for the past several years, All I have managed is a few dollars per day. That won't cut it for my bills. How many hours per day do you spend online?

@ScribbledAdNauseum Depending on the amount of work available, I'd say I spend maybe 5 hours online per day with breaks in between.

Aside from my regular job, I also have a remote job. I draft & review legal documents for clients (e.g. terms & conditions, privacy policy, legal disclaimers, petitions, motions, contracts, etc.) I also do translation of websites, apps, brochures, books and other legal documents.

@dramagirl26 The translation job is a bit easy. However, in drafting & reviewing legal documents it's mentally draining since I have to study the applicable law of the state/country where the document will be executed and I have to make sure that there are no legal loopholes in the contracts.

@rina110383 Is it hard work reviewing legal documents and doing translations work?

The only work I do from home is on the online websites. At home I clean houses, pet sit, and take photos. At school I am an office assistant.

@dramagirl26 I like it a lot, but it's definitely not something I want to do forever. My bosses are great and it's a pretty laid back job.

yeah. me too. I do exactly the same stuff as you...and the pay for freelance jobs is kinda unstable. I am looking for a way to stabilize it though.

@ms1864 I agree with freelance jobs. Sometimes work can be slow in that area. That's why it's good to have a couple of back up options just in case.

I only wrote for spending money which never amounted to much. I just enjoy writing for the fun of it.

@zebra2222 It's great that you write for the fun of it. I also write and even though the money is good, it's also fun to see what your mind can come up with.

I also do some miscellaneous work including trading virtual currency for a little money. Hopefully I can get the hang of creating virtual items soon and earn a lot more.

@joann123 That's one of the problems with online jobs, there's not too much data work. The closest thing you can do is short task. Amazon Mturk has tasks like business card and receipt transcription that's similar to data entry.
