Sunday Gene Wilder died at the age of 83. He was in "Willy Wonka" and "Blazing Saddles." He was married to Gilda Radner, a member of the original NBC show Saturday Night Live. (She died in 1989.)
According to the article, he died of complications from Alzheimer's disease.
R.I.P. Gene Wilder. Now you're home with Gilda Radner

I see the news has reached these forums... Yeah this was a blow to my childhood memories as I enjoyed the original "Willy Wonka And The Chocolate Factory." I still haven't seen Blazing Saddles(It's been on my "to watch" list for at least a decade or so now) and I haven't seen his portayal of Frakenstein. But whenI do see those films, it'll be in honor of his memory...It's gonna feel weird...

Yes, it is sad about him. My favorite of his movies is Willy Wonka.
