This point of discussion is actually for the Ladies, but if the men do any of the shopping, the are more than welcome to give us their TWO CENTS worth.
Out shopping yesterday looking for new brassiere (AKA Bra's) . . . I was shocked at the prices of the new ranges on the shelves in the Ladies Lingerie Department.
Now all I want to know from the Ladies World Wide is the answer to my question - are they expensive in your part of the world as well?
Did you know that the history of bra's started 14th century and firstly by the wealthy woman. It seems that Bra's have come full circle as History might be repeating itself in that only the wealthy woman might be able to afford!!
It seems the strapping of the mammary gland's has indeed become more than just a necessity over the hundreds of years and the fashion guru's have made much hay while the woman were exploring in the sun.
Its not always how it looks, or the price - the ultimate decision in buying a brassier is in the FIT!
"Given the discomfort women experience with ill-fitting bras, an increasing number of women, once they are home, are switching to undershirts, jogbras, or nothing at all.[1] Unhappy bra owners have donated thousands of bras to the Braball Sculpture, a collection of 18,085 bras"
"The history of bras is inextricably intertwined with the social history of the status of women, including the evolution of fashion and changing views of the female body."
Well I am interested to get some feedback - from the ladies of course!

they are overpriced, going to try them on is a PAIN, and I hates them. I cannot go without, but blech. I would like a reasonable priced store with WOMEN (or gay guys lol) to bring me different sizes and brands so I can keep trying on whatever I want without having to get dressed or undressed

seems all undergarments 've gotten purty pricey these days. i admit to not wearin' a bra very oft, only when i gotta go 'nto town. the ones that fit well, don't poke 'n pinch 're those spendy creatures. we all know't don't cost that much to make 'em, jest that good ol' 'supply 'n demand'....'n name labels.
i'm gigglin' o'er that sculpture :) whilst wonderin' where to send mine, lol

@Inlemay kinda reminds me 'f back'n the day when colored stockin's came out. i worked 't a high-end department store with a visual merchandiser. we strung 'em out to look like legs walkin' 'cross the top 'f the aisles. quite pleased with ourselves'n the display. the manager, well, not so much, lol. did bring lots 'f business to the hosiery aisle though. 'n fact, they needed to order more 'fore the week 'twas out, lol.
but a wad 'f bra's 's art?? nah, i'd not thunk 'f such neither.

@Inlemay Really interesting post! Some shops here like K-mart or Target might have some deal with bras for $15 or maybe a tad less.
But other stores may sell them for over $50!
Kind of rubbish if you ask me!

@Inlemay It's just ridiculous. They know what they are doing that's for sure. Not only do women need bras, but we like different styles and colours so jacking up the price to an insane amount will surely make them profit.

@VivaLaDani13 I have two young daughters who like the fashion ones and they cost even more - I feel very sorry for the young ladies of today - to keep up with the trends is an expensive job
