Air Fryers

My daughter got me an air fryer for Christmas last year and it isn't as versatile as I thought it would be, but I have gotten a lot of use out of it still. My husband doesn't want me using the old fry daddy any more because he likes the air-fried food better. What is your opinion of air fryers?

I've never seen one so I have no opinion. I'm intrigued though.

@clrumfelt Can you do vegetable like potatoes/french fries in them? This looks cool going to have to look into this more.

@Tina30219 I use it for frozen fries but have not tried fresh cut fries in it. It makes the frozen ones really crisp and golden brown just the way I like them.

Never heard of air fryers. What is the difference in that and a deep fryer? I would be interested in learning more on these because me and my boyfriend are trying to stay away from fried foods but we do like french fries with some foods we eat.

You can toss the fries in a little oil, season them and cook them in the air fryer. You don't put any oil in the fryer. It uses super heated air to cook the food.

We have an air fryer and we use it for porkchops, sausages and milkfish. I think it is better than normal frying because it uses the oil from the meat to cook it instead of dousing it with more oil which make the meats more tasty.

I've never tried pork chops or sausages in mine. But I will now.

I don't think they've been around that long. Really comes in handy though. Lots better than the ol' deep fryer.
