Food and Coupons

I know many people don't agree with me; however, decided to write an article about why I have been doing it for years. Several people have told me not to use coupons for products you won't eat and I decided its time to inform others why I would buy it. I would buy any items that are free and can be donated to Food Share. Also have been buying every can good that cost .10 or less, as canned goods have a long shelf life. When I was in college during the holidays every college student that lived in the college housing received a box of food from Food Share. The students that were in the married housing received several boxes of food, so I believe its important for me to give back to this organization. I felt so touched that people that didn't know me would spend time making sure every college student would have turkey and all the fixings for Thanksgiving. I really appreciated the community working together to get all the boxes delivered and making sure everyone was doing fine. I went home for the holidays with my box and invited my room mate to my home, as her family lived to far away to visit. I really enjoyed my years in college and learned so many valuable lessons about other people.

You are doing good. I too feel the need to give back to the community that has helped me.

Donating food is one of the most worthy things a person can do, however it's done. It's a most direct way of giving. The couponing is a good idea.

Thanks for posting on this topic. It can be challenging to save money. I think the city that posted when you posted sounds like a great place to see in the future. I live in California and have been busy traveling the state.
