What are the things that help us to live longer? 1. Eating non-processed foods as much as possible. That means foods that are not full of chemicals to help keep them longer. 2. Eating more fruit and vegetables. 3. Laughing and being optimistic versus negativity. 4. Less stress. Find ways to push stress and anxiety out of our lives. 5. Drink more water to help nourish our organs. 6. Keep our immune system strong. 6. Incorporate Omega 3 and 6 in our diets. 7. Annual check ups. We are more apt to find problems early and be able to fix them. 8. Keep our brains active with mind games and exercise, diet. 9. Have a good support system. 10. Have pets. Can you think of other ways to live longer?

I think staying happy during tough times make a person stay longer.

Well I am sure, what you mention above are real good points. But I personally feel that Staying positive and away from Stress helps better. (I think the #3 and #4 on your list, encompass those). By the way, what is #9 - Have a good support system, about?

Yes, very important indeed. A support system is like family and friends. Those we can depend on.

@celticeagle Ah yes, I do understand that. For sure, one must have at least someone whom s/he can depend upon. The bonding definitely can increase the desire to live longer and many a times this desire becomes crucial when you are sick or even old. I surely knew a few who lived longer despite doctors giving up hopes due to their incurable ailments - just because they had a strong desire to live. Many. ignore this point but surely it works out good.
