Sometimes when you are in a race you trip on your own shoe laces and fall down down.. The Ethiopian steeplechase athlete, Ethenesh Diro, completed the race despite the fact her shoes came off and she ran with just one in the Rio Olympics 2016 . She won the hearts of many and became an overnight sensation. Nope, I am not comparing myself to her... This incident just came to my mind.
I tried to be brave and run too with one shoe on.. nope I didn't qualify for the finals like Diro. LOL I was kind of out of the race for more than a week and then I tried to reach the payment threshold ... I tried hard.. but it was not to be. I lost it by a whisker .. Two cents, would you believe me!!
No, I am not disappointed.. I know I will get more next month and its perfectly alright with me.. But it was fun to race against time.. There was a lot of help.. but my race did not fetch me the payout. Initially I thought I had made it in time.. but I was wrong.. I just found out today.
Have you ever missed payout by a whisker here or on some other site? How did you feel?

Actually , yes though it's not the minimum payout but the next dollar . I was just short by .0012 to have $9 , which was my goal . But i was surprised they rounded it to that , when payday came .

@sofssu well basic is always 50 cents a day, I tried more but never could make it. I got that last month and wanted an extra dollar, which I almost managed

@zebra2222 I didn't till the end.. I just casually looked up t he day's payments the other day and figured that I hadn't actually made it. But I raced till the end.. and its kind of fun.

I have intentionally avoided reaching the Payout here at times, so that I can have a little bit extra next month to gift.
As for Diro, well, that is the difference between us normal beings and some gifted sports persons. And I think for online payouts, we can wait to make it next month - but at Olympics, they have to wait for at least 4 years and undergo rigorous training until then to win. maybe that is the difference Or does it has to do with the passion they have and the high they have as they represent their Nation or Country?

I don't think I've ever been that close before. I'm reaching payout here about every other month. I did notice a lot more around even after the end of the month this time, so maybe for those that begin over each month it will be easier this round.
Talking about tripping on shoelaces, my problem is that I've been tripping on my shoes and they don't have shoelaces. With my knee problems I'm not picking up my feet like I should when walking and then one toe or the other catches the floor incorrectly causing me to trip and do a dance with trying not to fall. I did that at work recently in a room half filled with people. Thankfully they were paying attention to their phones and not to me.

@MarshaMusselman I was waiting to see if they would pay me this month but that didn't happen... I have heard that they had rounded off to the nearest dollar for some people. That gives me time to double it up this month.
