My first day in Southport

I arrived at Southport railway station around 12-30, so I have been here around 6 hours or so now.
After booking into the guest house I strolled around for a few hours and was pleasantly surprised. Southport is certainly a much nicer resort than I realised. Today I simply wandered around the town and shopping areas then called at a cafe for the traditional fish and chips.
Tomorrow I plan on taking a stroll around the promenade area, which appears to be equipped with several fairground stalls. I may have retired but I am still not too old for the fairground.

@Asylum This must be very good. We were in Milano this morning and had lunch with my mother. I cannot believe how many people are still going to Italy for vacation. Most of the cars on the roads were from Germany, Belgium and Holland, too many of them, it took forever to drive 75 Km.

No body is too old for the fairground.I think the cost of that fish and chips is very high.

@silvermist They had the usual variety of meals, but I automatically asked for fish and chips.

So I take it you are on vacation? I don't really go on vacation, but this year we might actually observe Sukkot at a campsite with other people, that will be super fun!!!
