So in my 26 years of existence I have never ever lived in the 'Burbs. I have officially moved in with my sister and her husband in their duplex....in the suburbs! Now granted this city is only 5 blocks to the north end of my city. But its still an adjustment! I havent lived there long enough to notice a lot of differences, but I do notice that there are a lot of shopping and food places within about a mile drive. Do you live in the suburbs?

Do you like it? Or is there any part of it that you dont? I am the opposite, total city gal.

Our town is actually considered a suburb but it is a suburb of such a small town I consider it more of a rural area. I always thought living in the suburbs would be nice after watching the wonder years.

@maezee I'm not sure between all the little towns combined maybe 5000 people at the very most.

Ha ha! Nice. I do not remember that. Sometimes I think it would be nice too - less crime, more space. How small is your town?

I work in the suburbs but live in a subdivision , at the next town to it . And i must agree the city has many shopping and food places , so i am happy i am at the countryside .

Yes and I like it much better than other choices. Near the libraries and churches and schools...

True. Suburbs seem to have a lot of those! Or at least the ones around here do!

Yes, we do. My daughter lives in Portland and lived in a downtown neighborhood apartment for about five years, then bought a house in a different area of town. I will have to ask her if she is in the burbs now.
