The pear tree I planted last Spring has produced two pears. What a precious sight the first time I saw them. I cuddled and protected them from the elements and the birds and they have survived. They are not big pears but they appear to be full grown. I haven't sampled them yet I prefer to see them on the tree. Hopefully next year will bring an abundance of pears but I will be satisfied with a few more pears.

A pair of pears, not many, admittedly.

It is such a joy to see your first fruits when you plant a fruit tree.

Isn't it amazing how we can get excited about the little things? - which is a good thing.

How cool is that? I've never seen a pear tree before...

I don't think I have seen one either until I got mine.

That's better than my friend's pear tree did. It took his tree about 5 years to produce any pears at all. He now gets a few pears off of it and it seems to be producing more pears every year.

It is good to know that the pear production increases yearly

How nice is that? Hopefully there should be lots more next year - enough to eat AND see them on the tree as well.
