It's not Crunchy!

This evening, I avoided eating rice because my husband brought home some pizza and it is just right for dinner.
He also bought some pear which I should turn into a smoothie, but I felt I just have to slice it thinly for easier biting. But I was frustrated upon trying a slice because it is not crunchy, meaning it is already stale.
That's the trouble with buying fruits already packed in plastics, you can not tell if it fresh or not.
Do you have that experience too when you are not satisfied with what you bought?

But you have so many of those fruits; we don't have it here, and it is imported from temperate countries.

@acelawrites true, but the fruits/veggies that're harvested 'round these parts get shipped to other parts 'f the country - kinda like milk 'n soda pop. such's produced here (e'en cheese) 'n ya can't purchase that, what's'n the stores comes from other states/'r countries. one 'f the many thingies that jest don't make much sense, eh?

At the grocery store where I work, if a customer is not satisfied with their food, we will give them their money back AND let them pick out a new one for free. I feel like more places should do this.

It is being done by some big groceries here; one time I bought a tray of eggs and found they were spoiled, when I complained and returned it, the store gave me six trays! I had so many eggs.

It is a way of "enticing" people to buy it;they wrap it in 6's pack and you can not open to examine it well.

It is a big mall that does this;so I had the lesson from buying from them; it is not good to buy fruits or vegetables that are already wrapped in cling wrap because you can not examine it well.

In China. The fruit in the supermarket with preservation bags, packaging are generally not fresh.Because after ziplock packaging will be more beautiful.Next time you must choose to buy that kind of fruit, no packaging.

Yes, they were wrapped in beautiful plastic cling wrap and you can not open the package of 6 fruits.

We really feel so bad with it, thinking we were shortchanged.

Oh hey we had pizza for dinner tonight too!
Luckily it turned out good. I'm quite picky when it comes to food so I know what it feels like if they don't turn out as good as expected.

I am like that too, I want them to be in good condition as I was expecting it to be. I told my husband not to buy fruits that are on "sale."

So true, one can not really tell if it is fresh when it is already wrapped in plastic.

Oh, I hate that... it makes me feel like I wasted my money on something I can't use.

It's really just a waste of money! I could not return it because I have no time and will spend money too in going back to the store.

It happens quite often. I like hard apples and a lot of times they feel that way in the bag but when you bite into them they are soft. I, also, find that oranges sometimes can be dried out and I like a juicy orange. It can be disappointing when you are looking forward to having one only to find that they are not very fresh.

I felt deceived by their manner of packing it in 6's or 8' then you can not open and see if they are still in good condition.
