Since Anne suffers with the pretty much constant pain and discomfort of fibromayalgia, she has experimented with different therapies to relieve pain. She is also taking blood thinning medication, so many pain relieving drugs can't be prescribed. Myofacial Release is a sort of massage therapy that works on the connective tissue between the muscles (simple explanation only). Anne, on recommendation of friends and the woman who owns the store where I work part-time went to a therapist who uses this method. She has been for a few treatments and it seems to help. "Chi", an eastern medicine concept associated with yoga, tai chi, and martial arts has to do with the life force and energy within us. Like all other things that enter her mind, Anne thought of the treatment in an artful way. The result is this art quilt. You can see the hands of the therapist and the outline of a woman's body, then there is the Milky Way galaxy. The image occurred or appeared to her while having a treatment.
