My oldest son and my youngest son are both avid golfers. I know I’ve told you that before. This past weekend they were participating in a golf tournament in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Of course, Hermine got into the act and ruined their day of golf on Friday with 9 inches of rain. But, they were still able to play on Saturday and Sunday, so it all worked out. I just happened to see on TV over the weekend some golf history and I found out that Harelston Greens, which was built in 1786, in South Carolina is probably the oldest golf course in the USA. 9 inches of rain? Wow, that is a lot of rain. You'd think their golf carts would be getting bogged.

Yes, I was surprised that the course wasn't too wet to play, but my youngest son told me that the courses have good drainage systems and although it was a little soggy, they played Saturday and Sunday.
