Any gift ideas for 6 & 11 year old boys? / myLot

I'm a bit stuck on what to get my stepsons for Christmas this year. They both want expensive things like tablets and Xbox One, but that's way beyond our budget. They both like Legos, but they have TONS of Legos. I can think of things that they need, like pajamas and jackets and such, but those aren't terribly exciting. What are good tried and true gifts for these ages?

I suspect that books is not the good answer to your question. I loved to receive books, even when I was a kid. I am sorry I can be of no help, I had no children and I only have a niece.

Sadly, books are not necessarily good choices for these kids. I do still give them books, but they're not the big "Santa" gifts. I have sometimes given them Minecraft related books, like strategy guides and such, but that's already been done.

@spiderdust I remember when I offered strategy guides to my niece when she was younger. It's hard to find something that they really like.
