Getting Things Done

My memory is at work today. I finally remembered to call the publishing company who published the first edition of Scarred to take it down so it will no longer be available since the second edition is now out. That will also allow the Kindle version to become available for the second edition. I just filled out the cancellation request form and sent it back. So I can now check that off my to-do list.
I also took a picture of my ceiling fan/light that keeps going out on me and took it over to the office this morning to see if I can get it fixed. He came with more bulbs and changed them yet again. He said the fan is new and shouldn't give as much trouble as I'm having. So we're waiting to see if the lights stay lit or they go out again.
I'm also making great progress with the unpacking. Finding room for everything is becoming a challenge. I'll soon see what else ends up going to the thrift stores as necessary downsizing might still need to take place.
I'll be getting back to that soon, but I want to get as many notifications done as possible. So I'll be here for a little while yet.
My son put in his application yesterday with his friend. So it's a matter of being approved and I don't see why not. When I was in the office, she said he would be in the apartment at the other end of this building, which is good. I know he said he hoped for a street facing apartment. So it will be interesting to find out if it is street facing like mine is.
So how was your day today? I hope it's a good one. We're getting more rain today, not that we need anymore. How about your weather?
Thanks for reading.

It does seem that way. I'm almost finished. I want to be done by the weekend.

I made a few stops in town to do errands and went to a birthday party for about an hour and a half.
I can't use regular bulbs in my home they burn out within days every time! I have to buy the energy saving flouresant ones or whatever they are. I should write on them the date I put them in and see if they last as long as they are supposed to.

@just4him I'm positive mine done last that long a few years at most. Probably because of our old wiring. I am going to write on them from now on to keep track. I do that with the batteries in my smoke alarm so I know when to replace them.

They last longer. I had them in my house and put them in when I moved in and they were just starting to need replacing when I moved and I had been there 8 years.

yay for kindle options coming soon! unpacking gets stressy, especially since you have to figure out storage, and what you can donate

@just4him I have tons to do, since I am fairly certain in the next year we will be moving. So each week I need to go through stuff and fill the trash can and keep on taking loads up to the donation bin at the church nearest me

I'm doing that now. I've started putting the office together. The living room is about done, with an addition put there yesterday - my new TV - still in the box, but it will be all set up soon. I'll no doubt donate the old one. It has sound issues.

@Jessicalynnt Good idea. I'm at the point of downsizing my kitchen. I just have too much stuff and I can't do any more unpacking for the kitchen until I get rid of what I really don't need. I think it will be the pots and pans to start with. I bought a new set so the old can go. I might also get rid of my cookbooks. I never use them, except one or two of them that look well used.

We have low pressure today. My sister and my nieces planned to have an early walk in the countryside of our town but it rained the whole night and so we didn’t do it. We have postpone it for tomorrow if it will not rain. We should start walking at 4.30 a.m. before the sun shine and becomes hot.

I'm glad you're getting it all done slowly but surely. ., downsifing can sometimes be a good thing... especially if yoj donate your things. ..that means someone else can benefit from them....

I don't remember what happened on this day for me, but I had today off from both jobs for a change today since we got some of the rain that just went through wisconsin yesterday for you I think. We have another building in the condo unit to do yesterday and at first it showed more rain for the morning, but now it's down to only 15%. Usually that means things will be clear enough and I hope that is the case. I'll have another previous employee helping out with the taller areas, which will be great and I'm planning on two other jobs if that one gets done early enough.

I'm finding things to donate. I'm going to need to go through my kitchen as I'm about out of room and still have many boxes to go through for the kitchen.

Well the first thing is to put your fingers on the keyboard and just start typing whatever comes to mind. If you have a good imagination, something is bound to pour forth.

The lights have stayed on this time.
