Decorating the venue

My sister's new wife found the venue, and only after arranging to rent it, did they discover that it was the location of the first gay bar in Knoxville. It made it a very fitting venue for their marriage.
My sister had decided on a beach theme, and had light blue table clothes (plastic) with burlap as the sand color. She had also made cute center pieces with shells and fairy lights, a few lanterns with flame-less candles for the wall shelf. The food, catered by a friend of theirs with help from another friend.
While they were decorating, I discovered the couch, sat down and fell asleep. They all found it very amusing, but, remember, I only got 4 hours of sleep the night before... They couldn't believe I fell asleep with all the stuff going on, but when I need to sleep, not much will keep me from doing so if I can get comfortable.
About half way through decorating, my sister's wife's sister joined me on the couch. They set up the cake table and moved all the other stuff aside to put the chairs in place for the actual wedding.
After decorating, we then went over to the restaurant for dinner. Since we were a bit early, we gathered on the deck of the place and ordered drinks. I got my second mojito of the day. It wasn't as good as the first, but it had a piece of sugar cane in it.
When our table was ready, we moved inside.
After we had ordered, the very nice young man who had waited on us outside came in to check on us. Turned out that one of the waitresses who was serving us, was his sister!
I really don't remember what I ate, I think it was the char-grilled shrimp.
At that point, the rest of the family started walking back to the hotel and the rest of us headed back to my sister's place.
We sat out on the deck for a bit before heading to bed.

The venue had a big screen, and they wanted to put up a picture of a beach, but my niece's husband caught a beautful sunset with a whale tail in it and that was what they chose instead. After the brief service they had a slide show of the other pictures.

It is nice that you are very accepting of your sister. I know someone who is a Lesbian and her family haven't talked to her for years. Discrimination still exists in 2016.
