The Magic of the snail mail - I just got another 5 postcards in the mail and one of them was the stunning card from Judy who visited the Wild Flowers a while ago and in her travels gave me a thought and a message in the mail. Its most certainly a positive way of cheering me up today and thank you @JudyEv for the lovely card and VERY special stamp which depicts the Australia stamp of the Queens 90th Birthday with a Golden Wattle Diamond Brooch - The history books state that "the wattle brooch was a state gift from the people and government of Australia. It was designed and crafted by Paul Schneller, a jeweler born in Budapest, and commissioned by William Drummond & Co. The gift was presented to the queen during a banquet in Canberra, and she wasted no time wearing it during the same tour. She’s worn it ever since, and not just when going about Australian business. Many of the brooches in the queen’s collection with special connections to a country or a group are brought out when the connection requires it. For Her Majesty "brooch lover extraordinaire" a brooch gets an extra dose of importance. Among the Commonwealth brooches the queen has, this one made my list over all others for a few reasons: it’s enormous and loaded with diamonds, it was made specifically for her and is a special symbol of her personal relationship with Australia, and she actually seems to like it" I personally think its BEAUTIFUL - the card, the Wild Flowers and the Queens Brooch. Each postcard Brings with it some education, some enlightenment, some History if you are not doing the postcard exchanging yet - get to postcrossing and join in the fun! If you want to learn more about the wonderful Wreath Flowers of Australia tune into Judy's posts to read all about them and her travels.
I've made a bit of a welter with wildflower slideshows but this should be the end of them for while. I've included more photos of the wreath flower to show you...

Thanks for the mention and the link. I'm glad the card arrived safely and that you like it. I remember the Queen's wedding dress having little symbols of all the English nations embroidered in it. I know the wattle was involved in that as well.
