There has been alot of documentaries and such about this case since it is about the twentieth anniversary of her murder. I love a good mystery and am really into true crime shows and books. What did you think about the murder? Jon Bonet was murdered Christmas, December, 25, 1996, she was just six years old. She had been sexually abused, strangled and had been hit on the head. Her parents, John and Patsy, were suspects for most of the time. Jon Bonet had a bed wetting problem and one of the police's thoughts was that perhaps his mother got mad and hit her and killed her. It was also suspected that her father was sexually abusing her and perhaps that night it went too far. There was a ransom note found by the mother on the back stairs when she went down stairs the next morning. This note was thought to have been written by the mother. Several letters were like how she wrote hers. The ransom just happened to be the exact amount that John had gotten as a bonus that year. There was a window open downstairs where the body was found. I think that they will never find out who did it. The police had never done forensics on a murder there in Boulder, Colorado and they couldn't have made more mistakes if they tried. The Ramsey's had called friends over after they had called the police. So, by the time the police got there the house was over run with people and they didn't have a chance to find any remnants of the murder or whom ever had slane the child. There had been a Christmas party two days before. They should have gotten a list of the people that were at the party and started talking to people. The Ramsey's told their friends not to talk to police or the media. Why? There was also a cup of pineapple on the dining room table. Jon Bonet's stomach had some undigested pineapple in it. Durke's and Patsy's prints were found on the spoon that was in the bowl. I am such a curious person I would love to know what transpired that night. I don't think that a parent would hit their child over the head, nor strangle them unless they are pretty sick individuals. I think that a friend of the family did it. Some one who was attracted to the child. She was a beautiful child and did beauty pageants. The way the child was killed is the most common way that rapists and psychopaths do a murder. Hit them over the head, rape them and then strangle them. I don't think the parents did it. I don't think Burke did it although he seems rather odd to me. But, that doesn't make him guilty. There was no over kill like there would be if it was an impassioned kill. I think the parents hurt the case by having people come over. And, now due to that, I doubt they will ever find the killer.

I hate the fact that this case will probably never be solved. It's so sad. I don't think the parents did it either, I do think it was someone the family knew though.

Yep. I keep thinking that it was probably someone that was at their Christmas party. Someone that had been watching Jon Bonet from a vantage point only knowing the family would give them.

Honestly I'm not sure we'll ever know what happened that night. I do feel it's just one of those cases that will remain a mystery.
