Finishing a dance ....

Hi folks ...   I've been absent for a couple of days,   in that time, i've flown to England,  and spent a couple of  days with my Dad. He is recovering well  from  his heart surgery...,  of course, not as quickly as he'd like... but one of the things he loves to do is classic ballroom dancing..., before his operation, he was unable to finish even one dance... due to ill health... he would still go dancing,  and would do several half dances, as he didn't want to give up...   he has a great spirit... but is not a very patient, patient ...,  lol... During one of our discussions over the weekend,   about how he was doing, he mentioned that he'd been dancing, and had managed to do a whole dance, he was very pleased...  as was I...as it is one of the things that he measures his progress by,  but,  has already said...,  he wants to do more than one dance..., and he wants to walk further ... ect ..., ect.   I  told him of the improvements I've seen in him, since I last saw him 2 months  ago...,  but,  they are not happening quick enough for him... He has been busy in the garden..., which is also important to him...  here is a photo of some of his blooms.... I will do a slide show later in the week...

What a beautiful garden. He does a great job gardening. It is great that he is doing so well after his heart surgery. He is progressing nicely and in time he will be as good as new. It is great that he dances. It is what keeps him going. What a beautiful post. Thanks for sharing!

yes I think they've had a good summer ... so he has been able to get into the garden.... and he gets satisfaction and a sense of achievement from doing it.

I wish a speedy recovery for him, and dancing is exercise and that is good, in my thought

@sueznewz2 I think that the worst thing for my mother at the end - being idle and not being able to find things to do.
