The children walked down a crooked road until they came to the Abstract Amusement Park. "Wow," said James. "This is really cool. Look at all the lights and the strange looking rides. Who is operating these rides?" "That would be the Zeno people," said Flavoid. "After all, they built these rides over 100 years ago. Now follow me. I want you to board this particular ride. It is called the String Bot." "Is it dangerous?" asked Cindy. "Not at all," responded Flavoid. The children boarded the ride. They waited for the ride to begin. "You will notice that the ride looks like one narrow string. The ride twists and turns several times. At the end of the ride, you will go up the Ladder of Drop. You will go very high and then spin around as you quickly descend to the bottom of a submerged Water Dip. Good luck. Oh yes, by the way, it is rather dangerous. I lied." One of the Zeno operators started up the ride. At first, the ride was very quiet. As the ride gained speed, the twist and turns became quite strong. The children had terrifying looks on their faces as they climbed up to the Ladder of Drop. The plunge was quick. When they hit the Water Dip, the children momentarily felt like they were drowning. In just a couple seconds, the ride emerged back to the beginning. "That is the first fun thing that I felt since being in this weird world," said George. "Yes, well you have just tasted the beginning of this fascinating amusement park. Care to try The Tunnel of Ug?" "What is that?' asked Ron. "Is that dangerous?" "The Tunnel of Ug will take you into a long angular tunnel. At times you will feel verby heavy. Other times, you will feel as light as a feather. You will encounter ghosts, goblins, Jeckles, and Quirks." "What are jeckles and quirks?" asked Steve. "Jeckles are tiny batlike creatures. Don't worry. They don't bite. Quirks are bird sharks. They can fly and swim. They are very nasty if you make them angry. I suggest that you don't make them mad." "I don't think that I would like this ride," said Sarah. "Too bad," said Flavoid. "Everyone, it's time to sit down and be strapped in. The ride lasts about 10 minutes. Hopefully, you will all survive. Remember, do not bother the Quirks!" Once again, the ride started up. The children entered into the dark tunnel. Instantly, they felt like being crushed by a masher. They felt so heavy. "This is terrible," said James. "I can't stand it." Next, the children went through the weightless area. "I feel like a feather," said George. "This is great." They also passed through areas that Flavoid never mentioned. For example, they went through the bounce zone. Huge red balls bounced back and forth barely striking their ride. Also, they passed by quake quarters. The ride shook many times like it was in an earthquake. Finally, it went through shock zone. They were met by ghosts, goblins, Jeckles, and Quirks. The ghosts passed right through their bodies. The goblins tossed bursting bubble bath bombs at them. The Jeckles flew around them making high pitched, annoying sounds. The Quirks swam closely by the children. They didn't attack the children. However, they were very frightening. One Quirk almost snapped at Sarah. Max held Sarah's mouth. Otherwise, Sarah would have screamed. The children emerged from the ride unharmed. Flavoid was pleased. Okay, you will spend another couple hours here. You can go your separate ways. Afterwards, we shall return to Bus 32." The children had an enjoyable time at the Abstract Amusement Park. No one got hurt, but there were a few close calls. In the end, the exhausted children boarded Bus 32 and prepared for their next travel. Still, the children wanted to be home with their parents. They dreaded the idea of being human pets. Where were they going next? Only Flavoid had that answer. One more Void for the children to go to before becoming human pets.
