Think My Hospital Might Be Trying to Double Dip

I'm really not sure about the accounting department at our local hospital. We use one of their clinics for our preventative care and they keep screwing up the bills.
At first, I figured it was the new insurance. But, some of these mistakes can't be blamed on that.
For example, I got a $729 bill for my oldest daughter's emergency room visit back in March (I don't even remember what it was for, I think she was running a high fever). On the bill, they claim the insurance company didn't pay any of it and I have to pay the full bill.
Just one thing, I received a bill for this same visit back in May. The insurance paid the majority and I paid the rest. So, how in the world am I now getting another bill for the same visit?
Needless to say, I'm not paying it. I've already e-mailed them to let them know this too. It really makes me wonder if all that extra cash they seem to have (they've been buying up neighboring properties for a future expansion) is from stuff like this.

@marguicha I just won't pay my bill and make them prove I owe the money. I'm pretty confident I'll win that.

And that's why I'm skeptical about this single-payer health care some of our presidential candidates are talking about. I have no problem with making the cost of health care the taxpayer's responsibility. But, unless there's some serious oversight (and that's just not going to happen), there's nothing to stop a hospital from double or triple billing claims.
